There will be no BLOG tomorrow, Friday, December 31st, because of the New Year's holiday. Regular BLOG will resume on Monday, January 3rd, 2011. Below you will find a link to a great web site for everything New Years!

Happy New Year!

Toby Keith is switching up his schedule in the coming year to help make one of his family members the next big thing. He tells us: "I'm not doin' any movies, but I'm doing . . . My daughter is . . . I'm recording my daughter this winter and putting an album out on Krystal, so that'll take up some of my winter time (with) Daddy stuff."

  • Twenty-five-year-old Krystal has already recorded a duet with her dad. They released "Mockingbird" as a single back in 2004. Together they performed the song live on the CMA Awards that year.
  • Toby will kick off his 2011 tour on February 4th at the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo.
  • His current single, "Bullets In The Gun," is a Top 20 and climbing on the country charts.
Some people use New Year's Eve as an excuse to imbibe many adult beverages, and Dierks Bentley says he doesn't really have a cure for the inevitable hangover that may occur on New Year's Day.["I think January first is universally accepted as a day off. So, I mean a little hair of the dog, I guess. But just water and stay on the couch, I guess. There's no real sure-fire cure for that."
Chuck Wicks disagrees. He has one tip for curing a hangover: "Sleep. Sleep it off, or drink more. That always works. If you stay drunk you never have a hangover. I'm a genius. I'm a genius. I think I've made a breakthrough. Ladies and gentlemen, if you stay drunk, you'll never be hung over."
Lee Brice endorses a combination of Dierks and Chuck's advice along with a diet suggestion. "There's the hair of the dog approach, which is to just stomach whatever you were drinking the night before -- a really stiff one, and you'll feel better immediately. Or my favorite actual hangover cure is the actual process of sleeping in on the couch, watching football, eating like Chinese food or something, or something with cheese and meat and bread and fries and ketchup and ranch dressing. (laughs) That's the cure for me -- just sitting around all day, letting it pass, relaxing."
  • Dierks, Chuck and Lee are all off on Friday (December 31st) and able to ring in the new year with family and friends.

Rascal Flatts have been everywhere and done everything over the past decade. They've won countless awards, sold millions of records and concert tickets and charted hit after hit, but the one accolade that means the most to them happened in 2010.

In October, the trio were honored for their years-long dedication to and fundraising for Nashville's Vanderbilt Children's Hospital with the unveiling of the Rascal Flatts Surgery Center. Jay DeMarcus tells us: "For us, the Vanderbilt Children's Hospital thing didn't start out to be what it has become. We just wanted to raise some money. There was a need -- a dire need -- there. So, St. Jude's is a wonderful hospital, but we also felt like we have a magical place right here in Nashville that not enough people know about, and we wanted to try to create awareness, and its grown into this amazing thing now to where the surgical center was named after us, and I have to say, out of all the things we've been able to do that's the thing that I'm absolutely most proud of."

Rascal Flatts' brand new single, "I Won't Let Go," has a special connection for the staff and little patients at Vanderbilt, as Jay explains: "We debuted that for the first time ever, the three of us just singing it, at the Vanderbilt Children's Hospital event, and it was so funny because some of the people that were workin' there came up to us after the event and they were like, 'You were sittin' out there singin' that song and we thought, "Oh my gosh! That song is everything about what we do here at this hospital!"'".

  • "I Won't Leg Go" is on Rascal Flatts' new Nothing Like This CD.
  • The group kicks off the 2011 leg of their Nothing Like This tour on January 14th in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The trek features special guests Luke Bryan and Chris Young.

  • Rascal Flatts has donated more than $3 million to Vanderbilt Children's Hospital over the last six years.
  • In addition to their work with Vanderbilt, Rascal Flatts sits on the celebrity cabinet board of the American Red Cross.
Sara Evans will headline next year's Cattlemen's Ball taking place in West Point, Nebraska on June 4th. The annual event largely raises money for medical research at the University of Nebraska Medical Center's Eppley Cancer Center. A portion of the funds will also be donated to local health and wellness programs.

  • Randy Travis headlined last year's Cattlemen's Ball, raising more than $1 million for the cause..
  • In addition to the concert, other activities scheduled for this year's two-day Cattleman's Ball event include a prime rib dinner, a dance, craft fair, fashion show and silent auction.
  • Sara will release a new album called Stronger on March 8th.
  • The album's title track is Sara's current single, and is also featured on the Country Strong movie soundtrack.

  • Stronger is Sara's sixth studio album.
  • Her last, Real Fine Place, was released in 2005.

He didn't specify when he and the 29-year-old will tie the knot, but said, "We are planning something we wish to be a private affair among several of our friends. Anything else is conjecture and false. Kayte and I are the only reliable source for this story. End of story."

The Associated Press reported, "Clooney's Not On Our Watch is funding the start-up phase Satellite Sentinel Project that will collect real-time satellite imagery and combine it with field analysis from the Enough Project and the Harvard Humanitarian Initiative. The data will point out movements of troops, civilians and other signs of impending conflict. The U.N. Operational Satellite Applications Program and Google will then publish the findings online."

The New York Post reported that Disick demanded $5,000 an episode for Mason's participation. A source told the paper, "E! offered $1,000, but he played hardball. E! was like, 'Are you out of your mind?' He bungled negotiations, so you won't see Mason at all."

STUDY: IRAQ CIVILIAN DEATHS LOWEST SINCE INVASION: The number of Iraqi civilians killed in violence fell to its lowest level this year since the 2003 U.S.-led invasion, according to a study out today (December 30th), but the decline is slowing. The human rights group Iraq Body Count said the 2010 civilian death toll in Iraq was 3,976 as of December 23rd, compared to 4,680 in 2009. However, the group said the annual decline had slowed to 15 percent, compared to 50 percent and 63 percent drops in the previous two years. The IBC said, "Taken as a whole and seen in the context of immediately preceding years, the 2010 data suggest a persistent low-level conflict in Iraq that will continue to kill civilians at a similar rate for years to come." Although the once high level of violence and murder between Sunnis and Shiites has eased, there are still daily attacks by Sunni Islamist militants, groups linked to Saddam Hussein's outlawed Baath party, and Shiite militiamen.

POLICE SAY THWARTED DENMARK ATTACK OVER MUHAMMAD CARTOONS: Police in Denmark and Sweden said they thwarted a terrorist attack yesterday (December 29th), possibly hours before it was to begin, arresting five men they say planned to shoot as many people as possible in the Copenhagen newsroom of a paper that published cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad five years ago. Four suspects were arrested in suburban Copenhagen, including a Tunisian, a man from Lebanon and an Iraqi asylum-seeker, and a fifth suspect, a Swedish citizen of Tunisian origin, was arrested in Sweden. The alleged plot comes after several attacks and threats connected to 12 cartoons depicting Muhammad published by the Jyllands-Posten in 2005 as a challenge to self-censorship. The cartoons also led to violent protests in 2006 in Muslim countries when the drawings were reprinted in several Western media outlets.

CHRISTINE O'DONNELL'S CAMPAIGN SPENDING BEING PROBED: Federal authorities have begun a criminal investigation into failed U.S. Senate candidate Christine O'Donnell campaign spending to find out whether she illegally used campaign funds to pay personal expenses, AP reported yesterday (December 29th), citing what it described as a person familiar with the investigation. The Delaware Republican denied the charges, and suggested they were being driven by political opponents on both the right and the left, including Vice President Joe Biden. At least two former campaign workers have alleged that O'Donnell routinely used political contributions to pay personal expenses, including her rent, as she ran for the Senate three times in a row starting in 2006. She's acknowledged that she paid part of her rent with campaign money, but argued that her house doubled as a campaign headquarters. The U.S. Attorney's office in Delaware has confirmed it's reviewing a complaint about O'Donnell's campaign spending from the nonpartisan watchdog group Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, but declined to say whether a criminal probe was under way, as did the FBI.

  • The Tea Party-backed O'Donnell was the surprise winner of the GOP primary, but lost badly in November to Democrat Christopher Coons.

MEAT LABELS TO LIST CALORIES, NUTRITIONAL INFO: Beginning in 2012, many meat labels will be required to list the number of calories as well as other nutritional information. The new rule announced Wednesday (December 29th) by the Agriculture Department will apply to 40 of the most popular cuts of meat and poultry products, as well as ground meat and poultry. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack said in a statement, "More and more, busy American families want nutrition information that they can quickly and easily understand. "We need to do all we can to provide nutrition labels that will help consumers make informed decisions."

BUZZ ALDRIN SUES TOPPS OVER TRADING CARD: Former astronaut Buzz Aldrin, the second man to walk on the moon, is suing Topps Inc. over the use of his image in a series of "American Heroes" trading cards. The 80-year-old Aldrin is charging that Topps unfairly profited from his historic achievement when they used an iconic photo of him standing on the moon for the card. However, an attorney for Topps told the Los Angeles Times that the company has a First Amendment right to include a factual description of the Apollo 11 mission to the moon, and it included an image of Aldrin in his lunar suit because he is, quote, "an American hero."

MEMBER OF REAL-LIFE 'SOUND OF MUSIC' FAMILY DEAD AT 97: Agathe von Trapp, a member of the real-life family whose escape from Nazi-occupied Austria was the basis for The Sound of Music, died Tuesday (December 28th) at a Maryland hospice. She was 97. Von Trapp was the oldest daughter of Austrian naval Captain Georg Ritter von Trapp, and was represented in the film by the 16-year-old character Liesl, played by Charmian Carr. Agathe and her nine brothers and sisters -- seven by Von Trapp's first wife and three by his second, Maria -- as well as their parents performed together as the Trapp Family Singers. Agathe's death leaves only four surviving siblings. Although Agathe admired The Sound of Music, she felt it misrepresented her father as too strict and not as the loving, caring parent he was, and she wrote her memoir to set the record straight. The book, called Memories Before and After The Sound of Music, was published in September by Harper Paperbacks.

NFL FINES FAVRE $50K IN SCANDAL OVER MESSAGES, PHOTOS: The NFL fined the Minnesota Vikings' Brett Favre $50,000 Wednesday (December 29th) for failing to cooperate with its investigation into allegations he sent inappropriate messages and naked photos to a New York Jets gameday hostess when he was a member of the team in 2008. The league said that Commissioner Roger Goodell couldn't conclude that Favre violated the NFL's personal conduct policy based on the evidence available to him, saying forensic analysis failed to establish that the quarterback sent the photos. The attorney for Jenn Sterger, the woman who is alleged to have received the messages and photos, denounced the decision, accusing the NFL of favoritism. He said Sterger is undecided about whether to take legal action against Favre, the Jets or the NFL. The ruling came just days before what could be the final game in the 41-year-old quarterback's stellar career.

KRZYZEWSKI MOVES INTO SECOND PLACE ON WINS LIST: Duke basketball coach Mike Krzyzewski moved past Dean Smith into second place on the men's all-time wins list Wednesday night (December 29th) when his team beat North Carolina-Greensboro 108-62. The win gave Krzyzewski his 880th career victory, meaning he now trails only Bob Knight, who has 902 wins.

ROBBERY VICTIM CHEWS THROUGH RESTRAINTS: A robbery victim in Washington who was tied to a chair freed himself by chewing through the masking tape he was bound with. Two men tricked the victim by telling him that their car broke down and they needed to use his phone. Once in the house, they tied him to a chair and robbed him. The victim was a 92-year-old World War II veteran. After two hours of chewing, the victim was able to break the masking tape and call the police. The man had some bruises but was not harmed. The robbers got away with about $400 and the elderly man's truck. The police are still looking for the suspects. (Myfoxdfw)

BERLIN POLICE PEPPER SPRAY SNOWBALLERS: Two police officers in Berlin were investigating a brawl of about 25 people when the crowd began to throw snowballs at the officers. The number of young adults throwing the snowballs quickly grew to around 40 people and the police retreated. The officers came back with and fought the crowd using pepper spray. There were no reported injuries and some arrests were made after the crowd dispersed. (Reuters)

LOTTERY SYNDICATE REFUSES TO SHARE JACKPOT WITH FELLOW WINNER: Eight workers at the Hacienda Hills Country Club in Florida won the Florida state jackpot for $16 million. However, they are refusing to split the cash with one of the workers claiming she did not put in her one dollar to play. 72-year-old Jeanette French has been part of the country club for eight years and said that in the past when group members were not around to contribute to the ticket, other members would chip in. She paid back her dollar but they are refusing to split the winnings. A court granted an injunction preventing the money to be split, so as of now no one will receive anything. If split evenly each member will receive $1.1 million. (

MAN ARRESTED FOR PUNCHING TEENAGER ON PLANE: A 68-year-old man was arrested for punching a 15-year-old who did not turn off his iPhone on a flight from Las Vegas to Boise. The teen was playing games and listening to music when the flight attendants told everyone to turn off their electronic devices. When the teen did not obey, Russell Miller became enraged and punched him in the arm. The pilots contacted air traffic control and requested that the police wait at the gate for their arrival. Miller was charged with a misdemeanor battery and booked in jail. (Msnbc)

CELEBRITIES MAKE KIDS THINK ILLNESS IS COOL: A survey found that a third of children have admitted faking a serious disorder to emulate celebrities. Phantom illnesses include eating disorders and depression. The study, for online therapy service, questioned 1,192 kids aged 12 to 17. It found one in ten thought mental illnesses were trendy, with half of those believing it made people unique. Some 16 percent said celebrity sufferers had made mental conditions fashionable.

1. Eating disorders 22 percent
2. Self harming 17 percent
3. Addiction 13 percent
4. Depression 12 percent
5. Bipolar disorder 9 percent

SCIENTISTS SAY CELEB HEALTH FADS DON'T WORK: Scientists say that a lot of the health fads popularized by celebrities are lies. In an annual list of what it sees as the year's worst abuses against science, the Sense About Science (SAS) campaign group debunked diet and exercise suggestions made by people in the public eye. In the health and fitness section, SAS said that soccer player David Beckham and Prince William's fiancee Kate Middleton have both been spotted wearing hologram-embedded silicone bracelets which makers claim can improve energy and fitness. It also listed a diet reportedly used by supermodel Naomi Campbell and actors Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore in which followers survive on maple syrup, lemon and pepper alone for up to two weeks. But SAS said in a statement: "Many of these claims promote theories, therapies and campaigns that make no scientific sense." (Yahoo)

SAS also published its own "easy-to-remember pointers for celebrity commentators":

* Nothing is chemical-free: everything is made of chemicals, it's just a case of which ones
* Detox is a marketing myth: our body does it without pricey potions and detox diets
* There's no need to boost: bodily functions occur without boosting
* Energy and fitness come and exercise: there are no shortcuts.

  • 1. Slim down with water! Whether you want to maintain your weight, or maybe lose 10 pounds this year, put good-old H2O to work, say researchers. A recent study found that people who drank two glasses of water before sitting down for a meal took in more calories than those who dove right in. Make it your new eating habit!
  • 2. Buy a healthy cookbook or healthy living book: Your assignment: Head to your local bookstore and hit the healthy living/diet/cooking section. Find a book that resonates with you--whether it's about exercise or vegetarian cooking--and read it in January to pick up some new healthy living tips.
  • 3. Update your fitness wardrobe: I know it's silly, but I have more motivation to run/workout when I actually like my fitness clothes. Nope, don't spend a fortune, but invest in a good pair of sneaks that you love and hit up Old Navy or Target for a few cute workout tops and active bottoms to start your year off right.
  • 4. Start drinking green tea: There seems to be no limit to what this ancient tea can do for your health (from giving you gorgeous skin to helping ward off cancer). Why not make a pot today?
  • 5. Pick up a sort of granola/hippy/New Agey health practice: No, no, no--I am so not sitting cross legged in meditation pose here, nor am I into chanting or colon cleanses, but I do think some of the self-care and health practices that come out of the more "natural" health arenas can do a body good--or at least get you focused on living a more healthful life. Whether it's picking up a new herbal tea at a local health food store, or getting into dry brushing (who knows if it works--it feels good!), sometimes picking up on a (safe) holistic or natural health practice can help you remember to care for yourself in healthy ways. Always a good thing!

She's not on her toes around you: Where there's no tension, there's no romance. A woman who is trying to curry your favor will be intently interested in everything you say and do. In turn, this will lead to a certain amount of suspense. She'll be constantly wondering, "Does he like me?" and, "What is he going to do next?" and her nerves will show themselves in her behavior. If she's perfectly at ease around you, that's not necessarily a good thing.

She doesn't laugh at your jokes: A sense of humor usually tops a woman's attraction wish list. The importance of making a woman laugh cannot be overstated. If she's not laughing, her panties aren't coming off, it's as simple as that. Those guys without a sense of humor aren't immune to this rule; if she really is interested romantically, she'll laugh at your jokes, even if they aren't funny.

She brings up other women: When a single woman talks about your prospects with other females, she is shifting your attention away from herself and on to other hapless victims. This passing of the romantic buck can be inferred in phrases like: "A great guy like you can get anyone you want," and, "I want to set you up with my good friend Janice."

She won't bend to your will: When you hang out with her, do you always find yourself at women's clothing and shoe stores? Does she always insist on going to her favorite cafe? When was the last time she watched a Sylvester Stallone movie with you, or followed you to the car show? An interested woman will always seek out ways to please andcater to at least some of your manly interests.

She uses the F-word: No, not the good F-word. The word she uses is much nastier: friends. If a woman addresses you with the word "friend," you are dead in the water. You never want to be friends with a girl you're attracted to.

She stays away from you in public: If she isn't interested in you, she certainly doesn't want anyone to mistakenly think that she is. Accordingly, she will avoid being seen "coupled up" with you at classic date spots. If she rejects all your invitations to the coffee shop, the bar, dinner, and the movies, you're likely barking up the wrong tree.

She asks for favors: Is she regularly asking far more of you than your time and attention? Maybe first she wants to raid your DVD collection. Then she wants to borrow your truck to move. Next she wants you to help her move.

She brings a third wheel: This is a completely unfair trick that women will play if they either don't like you or aren't yet sure that they do. They'll invite a friend along to help size you up or to take the pressure off of her having to talk to you.

She doesn't lay a finger on you: It's long been known that an interested woman will brush her fingers against your arm, tickle you or lightly smack you. If none of this playful touching is taking place, it's because she wants to keep her distance.

She gushes over other men: Isn't this an obvious sign? Yes, it is. But the capacity of the lonely male mind for denial is staggering. So this still needs to be said.

What temperature is it best to open champagne at?

A: Between 38 and 40 degrees.

Chilling the Champagne will help you open it correctly. A bottle of champagne contains 90 pounds per square inch of pressure. The warmer it is, the more pressure you will have and the more champagne you will lose when opening it. Opening a bottle of champagne can be dangerous, so here is how to open it safely: After it's chilled, cut the foil around the top of the bottle. Place your hand on the cork, never removing it until the cork is completely out. Undo the wire. Carefully put a cloth napkin over the top of the cork (if the cork pops, it will go safely into the napkin). Remove the cork gently, slowly turning the bottle in one direction and the cork in another. By resisting the urge to pop off the cork, you prevent carbon dioxide (which gives Champagne its sparkle) from escaping.

Tucker Carlson Says Michael Vick Should Have Been Executed

Fox News analyst Tucker Carlson had a particularly harsh take Tuesday (December 28th) on Michael Vick's past dogfighting conviction, saying that the Philadelphia Eagles quarterback should have been executed. Carlson made the comment while guest-hosting Sean Hannity's show after bringing up the recent report that President Obama had praised the Eagles' owner for giving Vick a second chance after he served his 18-month jail sentence for running a dogfighting ring, saying many employers don't give ex-cons opportunities to contribute to society again. Carlson criticized Obama for the comments, and said, "Michael Vick killed dogs, and he did [it] in a heartless and cruel way. I think personally he should have been executed for that."

Bad Memories Shredded Ahead of New Year on Good Riddance Day

The fourth annual Good Riddance Day was held in New York's Times Square Tuesday (December 28th), during which New Yorkers and tourists could put bad memories through an industrial-sized shredder and look for a fresh start in 2011. The day was organized by the Times Square Alliance as part of the buildup to the New Year's Eve ball-drop celebration. People lined up to either put some bad memory in the shredder, throw it in a dumpster, or pound on it with a sledgehammer. Carrie Kerbeykian of New Jersey won a VIP package to the Broadway show American Idiot for having the most creative good riddance entry. She broke up with a "bad boy" in 2010 that she'd dated for two years, so on Tuesday she shredded a photo of him and smashed her broken cell phone.

LeAnn Rimes just got engaged and now the pregnancy rumors are starting. But the singer and her soon-to-be husband, actor Eddie Cibrian, won't be hearing the pitter-patter of tiny feet any time soon. LeAnn shot down the rumors on Twitter yesterday (Tuesday, December 28th) writing, "This is such BS!!!! Lol, you people all report BS,"

She further drove home the point that she is not expecting by posting a comment about her trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico on the way to the airport yesterday, posting, "Cabo!!!!! Sun, bikinis, friends, food, tequila...celebration!!!! Gonna be the best trip!!"

In other LeAnn and Eddie news, Eddie's ex-wife, Brandi Glanville, is reportedly unphased by the engagement, which she told E! News happened a while back, not over the weekend like the couple said. A friend of Brandi's offered some advice for LeAnn to Us Weekly, saying "She can wonder what he's doing on those boys-only trips, who he's always texting, who's at his poker nights. As long as she continues to be good to her two boys, it doesn't matter to Brandi. LeAnn should keep her eyes open. A tiger never loses his stripes."

  • Eddie and Brandi have two sons, ages seven and three.
  • Eddie proposed with a five-carat oval diamond set in rose gold fleur-de-lis which is connected to the band.

For Blake Shelton, 2010 will go down in history as one of the biggest years of his life, both personally and professionally. His career was boosted by Number One hits and his very first industry award wins, including Male Vocalist of the Year at the CMA Awards, while his romance with Miranda Lambert took a big leap forward.

Blake tells us what he considers to be his proudest moment: "My favorite moment, obviously, is Miranda and I gettin' engaged. That was a cool moment. There's been a lot of things, a lot of ups and downs for Miranda and I over the years and we've just stuck it out and it's not been easy but it's been worth it, you know, and that moment for she and I both, you know, the time was right and that's somethin' we'll never forget, you know?"

There's a second event that ranks right up there with his engagement, as Blake explains:"Career-wise and also personally, the Grand Ole Opry is . . . You know, as much as I love the CMA and the ACMs and now this Grammy nomination, the Grand Ole Opry to me is the one that I can die with a smile on my face about. That's the one where you dream what Nashville's gonna be like and what you can hope to accomplish one day and that's probably on everybody's list. It should be. If it's not they don't need to be doin' it, you know, and for me it was a really big deal."

  • Blake officially became a member of the Opry on November 24th.
  • He and Miranda are planning to tie the knot sometime this spring.
  • Blake is nominated for his first Grammy for Best Country Collaboration for "Hillbilly Bone" withTrace Adkins.

The Judds will have their own reality show on Oprah Winfrey's new OWN network when it launches next year, but the talk show queen wasn't the first to offer the mother-daughter duo their own show. Naomi and Wynonna turned down VH1 a few years ago. Wynonna told GAC, "We were offered the VH1 slot after The Osbournes. I was like, 'I'd rather have a lobotomy.'" Naomi added, "They offered us so much money."

So why now? Well, Naomi and Wynonna have worked through a lot of their issues with each other with the help of therapy, something the two are committed to maintaining. While they've come a long way, they're not perfect, which could make for interesting television. Wynonna said, "There's so much about us that (makes) people in airports want to look. It's like part train-wreck, but part, 'Oh, my God, they really love each other, and they get along and this is so great.' They're waiting for a train wreck."

  • The Judds' new show will premiere sometime this spring.
  • Naomi and Wynonna recently wrapped up their month-long Last Encore tour.
Taylor Swift doesn't have any sisters, but if she did she'd want them to be just like Gwyneth Paltrow. A source tells, "She has always wanted a sister and has fell in love with Gwyneth. She met Gwyneth through her musician husband, Chris Martin, and has formed a great friendship. They email and call each other all the time. They talk a lot about music, performing and acting but they also talk about normal stuff like boys and dates." It was at a dinner party at Gwyneth and Chris' home that Taylor met boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal.

Neal McCoy says that he will be singing at Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert's upcoming wedding reception. He and Blake shared the bill at a festival in Oregon this year where the soon-to-be bride and groom caught his show. Neal told Country Weekly, "I guess they were kind of blown away by the spontaneity and goofiness of my show, so they asked me to play their wedding reception. They wanted to pay me, and I told them, of course you don't have to pay me, that'll be an honor to play it, and I'm sure it will be really fun and a who's-who kind of thing with all the people attending."

Steel Magnolia say that 2010 put them on the music map. The duo, who are real life boyfriend and girlfriend, broke through with their first two singles, "Keep On Lovin' You" and ""Just By Being You (Halos and Wings)"; made their debut on the Grand Ole Opry; were invited out on their first big tour with headlinerBrad Paisley; and even got nominated for a few awards at both the ACM Awards and the inauguralAmerican Country Awards earlier this month, on which they got to perform live, another first for the pair.

Steel Magnolia's Meghan Linsey reflects on the past year: "You know, our lives have completely changed in just a little over a year, so everything's been really surreal, and I know that's kind of a weird word to use I guess, but it just has been . . . Like it's like walking through a dream really. You dream about doing this your whole life and then to be able to do it . . . "

  • Steel Magnolia will release their self-titled debut CD on January 11th.
  • Their brand new single is called "Last Night Again."

  • Steel Magnolia's debut album was originally scheduled for release back in September.
  • The duo were signed to Big Machine Record, home to Taylor Swift and Rascal Flatts, after winningCan You Duet.
