Then we come back and we go on the U.S. tour and it's gonna be a really busy year, but I'm more than excited for that, and we get to do this because of the people in this room. Joe Nichols' new single, "The Shape I'm In," is about a guy getting over a broken heart, but the song's new video goes in a completely different direction. It spotlights a group of people who have a reason to complain about the shape they're in, but don't. Joe tells us: "(With) the video we wanted to take a much more powerful angle, you know, with the video. We wanted to include some war heroes, some true American war heroes. We wanted to make sure that people saw a very vivid and raw and graphic view of some really significant challenges that these guys face when they come home."

Joe says the men who star in the video are an inspiration to anyone to carry on. "It's not just to get your attention so you appreciate what they've gone through, but you appreciate where their mind is going, not just the image of the guy putting on his prosthetic leg and, 'Oh my gosh, he's given so much!' That's one part of it. Thank you for sacrificing that, but thank you for lifting your head up and moving forward, marching forward and being optimistic and doin' alright. That's one thing I thought (director) Trey Fanjoy did a great job of capturing the getting better part, the moving forward, 'I'm doin' alright. My shoulders are back, my head's up and I'm proud and I'm movin' forward. This is not gonna stop me.'"

  • Joe's first Greatest Hits CD was released last week.
  • The compilation includes "The Shape I'm In" and Joe's recent Number One hit, "Gimmie That Girl."

A rep for the actor told People magazine, "He has competed his treatment and has left." Another source close to David added that he is "in great spirits. He's feeling good and he's ready to move forward."

  • David's decision to seek treatment came in the wake of his separation from his wife of 11 years,Courteney Cox. After the couple announced their split, David admitted he was drinking more and reports of his wild nights hit the web. He also gave multiple interviews to Howard Stern in which he discussed the details of his relationship with Cox, including their sex life.

CHARLIE SHEEN ENTERS REHAB; 'TWO AND A HALF' MEN HALTED

Charlie Sheen entered rehab on Saturday (January 29th) -- a day later than originally reported. Despite an announcement on Friday that he'd gone to treatment, People magazine reported that it took an extra day for him to decide what facility he'd enter.

The actor's manager, Mark Burg, told People, "[He] is currently in rehab. He was bombarded by every rehab in the country looking for his wallet and publicity, and he has been deciding where to go. With the help of friends and family, he finally agreed to go and went into rehab on Saturday." He noted that Sheen did not enter Promises in Malibu as one report suggested, but did not specify where he went.

  • Burg added, "Charlie knows he has work to do and he is looking forward to regaining his sobriety. Charlie hopes to be back at work in the near future but there is no time frame. Regaining his sobriety is what is most important."
  • Producers Two and a Half Men announced on Friday that they would suspend production while Charlie was getting treatment.

PORN STARS KEEP TALKING

Charlie's decision to enter rehab came after he was hospitalized last week on the heels of a reported cocaine-and-porn star-filled bender. Although his people blamed the hospitalization on a hernia, sources who partied with the actor last week have been forthcoming about the details of their experience with the star.

In his opening monologue, Jesse and Andy Samberg were comparing notes on how they each impersonate Zuckerberg. The camera then focused on the real Mark, trying to convince Lorne Michaelsthat he was in fact, himself.

  • He pleaded, "Why can't I go in there? I'm the real Mark Zuckerberg! Come on. I invented Poking!"
  • Mark eventually came out and the trio had an awkward exchange in which he told Jesse that he thought The Social Network was " . . . interesting."

JASON DAVIS ARRESTED AFTER 'CELEBRITY REHAB' REUNION

Reality star Jason Davis was arrested on suspicion of drug possession last week -- a day after saying he was clean during a live reunion episode of Celebrity Rehab.

The oil heir told Dr. Drew that after a few relapses since production, he had been sober for 90 days. However, TMZ.com reports that cops arrested him for possession of a controlled substance in California last Thursday.

  • Davis claims that the drugs were planted, and says a family member tipped off police. He released a statement saying, "I am shocked that my family would once again alert the police, and media, about a personal family matter simply to promote their own public image. You don't see Charlie Sheen's family calling the cops on him. Authorities are investigating whether a certain family member planted the drugs in my home."
  • Dr. Drew responded to the arrest as well, saying, "Jason was honest about his struggles with his sobriety on the reunion show. Hopefully, now that there are legal consequences, further treatment will be mandated, which he so desperately needs. As I said when I saw him Wednesday, we care for him very deeply and we are here for him."

JESSE JAMES HAS EX ARRESTED OVER THREATENING PHONE CALLS

Jesse James' ex-wife Janine Lindemulder was arrested over the weekend for threatening the newly-engaged bad boy. HEADLINE NEWS

U.S. URGES 'ORDERLY TRANSITION TO DEMOCRACY' IN EGYPT: As the anti-government protests in Egypt entered their sixth day yesterday (January 30th), reform leader Mohamed ElBaradei called forPresident Hosni Mubarak to resign, while the U.S. position also seemed to shift away from Mubarak, Egypt's ruler for the past 30 years, with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton calling for a, quote, "orderly transition to democracy." However, Clinton avoided directly saying whether the U.S. supports Mubarak continuing as the leader of Egypt, which is our closest Arab ally. From CBS' Face the Nation: "What the people who are in Tahrir Square and elsewhere in Egypt are protesting for is the right to participate in their government, to have economic opportunity, for their human rights to be respected. We are very clearly asking both in public and private that the Egyptian authorities respond to that, that they start a process of national dialogue that will lead to a transition to such democracy. And what President Mubarak himself said the other day, that they would begin to take concrete steps for democratic and economic reform, we expect to see happen."

Lawlessness spread on Saturday and Sunday after police withdrew from the streets late Friday without explanation. In addition to looting, armed robberies and arson in cities around the country, at least four jails were attacks and hundreds of prisoners freed, including members of the outlawed Muslim Brotherhood, which wants to establish an Islamist state. But security began to return Sunday as police began to move back out into some neighborhoods and the military worked to restore order. But what the military has not done -- at least so far -- is crack down on the protesters, and Mubarak's fate appeared increasingly tied to whether the military would stand by him.

  • The U.S. Embassy told Americans to consider leaving Egypt as soon as possible and said it was arranging flights for Monday.

MAN ARRESTED WITH EXPLOSIVES AT MICHIGAN MOSQUE: A 63-year-old man with explosives in his vehicle who intended to blow up one of the nation's largest mosques was arrested in the parking lot of the Islamic Center of America in Dearborn, Michigan, last Monday (January 24th) while a funeral was going on inside. Authorities revealed the arrest yesterday (January 30th), saying Roger Stockham was arraigned on one count of making a false report or threat of terrorism and one count of possessing explosives with an unlawful intent. Police said Stockham, who lives near San Diego, has what was described as a long history of anti-government activities. Stockham was arrested after police got a 911 call from a resident.

SOUTHERN SUDAN VOTES TO BECOME NEW NATION: Southern Sudan's referendum commission said Sunday (January 30th) that more than 99 percent of voters in the south chose to secede from the country's north in a vote held earlier this month. The secession vote was a condition of a 2005 peace agreement that ended a civil war between the north and the south that lasted two decades and killed two million people. In northern Sudan, 58 percent of voters also chose secession. If the process stays on track, Southern Sudan will become the world's newest country in July. Still to be negotiated are borders, oil rights and the status of a contested region.

TODAY'S FYI:

WIKILEAKS RIVAL WEBSITE LAUNCHED: A former WikiLeaks spokesman has launched a rival secret-leaking website, saying he wants to give whistleblowers more control over the secrets they reveal. Called OpenLeaks, the site was launched on Friday (January 28th) under the leadership of Daniel Domscheit-Berg, who said it will allow sources to choose specifically who they want to leak documents to, such as to a particular news outlet. Domscheit-Berg said the difference between his group and WikiLeaks is that OpenLeaks will leave reviewing the material up to the publication or advocacy group chosen by the source. He said this will speed up the process, as well as make OpenLeaks less of a target, since it wouldn't be publishing any of the material itself. OpenLeaks will begin testing in several weeks, and could be fully operational laster this year. Domscheit-Berg left WikiLeaks after a falling-out with its founder, Julian Assange.

STUDY: EARLY HORMONE REPLACEMENT RAISES BREAST CANCER RISK: Researchers reported Friday (January Th) that women who start hormone replacement therapy as they begin to go through menopause have a higher risk of breast cancer than women who start taking them later. The British study found that women who waited five years of more to start taking HRT had little or no increased risk of breast cancer, but those who started it as they entered menopause had a 43 percent higher risk. The findings backed up those from the U.S.-based Women's Health Initiative, which found women who took HRT right at menopause had a 41 percent higher breast cancer risk. However, the opposite was true of heart disease, with women who started HRT earlier having a lower risk than women who start later.

COLLEGE CANCELS BRISTOL PALIN ABSTINENCE TALK: Washington University in St. Louis said on Friday (January 28th) that it had withdrawn an invitation to Bristol Palin to speak about teen pregnancy and abstinence because of protests from students. It had been announced two days earlier that Palin, the 20-year-old daughter of Sarah Palin who became pregnant at 17 and is a single mother, had been asked to speak next month as part of Student Sexual Responsibility Week, and that $20,000 had been allocated for the panel featuring her. But students began objecting soon after, and the controversy was continuing to grow until the school and Palin both agreed to cancel it. Bristol Palin has been speaking publicly on abstinence, including recently teaming up with The Situation from MTV's hit show Jersey Shore for a public service announcement on preventing teen pregnancy, with Palin advocating abstinence.

NEW ALCOHOL-DETECTION SYSTEMS COULD BE IN CARS IN UPCOMING YEARS: New alcohol-detection systems are being developed that use automatic sensors to instantly detect whether a person is too drunk to drive, and they could be available within the decade. Transportation Secretary Ray LaHoodwas on hand Friday (January 28th) at QinetiQ North America in Massachusetts for a public demonstration of the in-development systems, that could measure whether a driver has a blood alcohol content at or above the legal limit of .08 and, if so, prevent the vehicle from starting. The Driver Alcohol Detection Systems for Safety would use sensors that measure blood alcohol content either by analyzing a driver's breath or through the skin, using touch-based sensors placed strategically on steering wheels, for example. The initial $10 million research program is funded jointly by the National Highway Safety Administration and the Automotive Coalition for Traffic Safety.
